Gran Fondo Wine was founded in January 2013 by Jeff Morgenthal.
Jeff Morgenthal’s journey was both by bike and by vine. The two came together in Colorado in the early 90s as Jeff pursued his passion for bicycle road racing by day and worked in fine restaurants by night.
Over the last several decades, Jeff’s deep passion for these 2 entities still drives everything. The wines in the portfolio are all sourced by Jeff + represent wines made from small/medium-sized wineries made by owner/winemakers.
The sustainability for the wines drives everything- making sure Gran Fondo Wine imports only wines grown sustainably and organically. Several wineries imported by Gran Fondo Wine are Demeter-Certified Biodynamic, a sign that a winery is working under the most sustainable practices of all.
Jeff lives in Glendale, CA and is the living (hopefully) embodiment of Eat.Drink.Ride. mixed in with infinite Grateful Dead jams.
